By releasing an ECM platform that is 100% cloud services based, Veladocs is not held hostage by dated technology that is expensive and cannot scale to meet the demands of today’s businesses. This modern approach provides a transparent approach to storign data and content allowing information to be more accessible to other platforms, such as AI and intelligent data extraction tools.

Ellen Ryan

Co-Founder and Managing Partner

Ellen is an accomplished professional with a true passion for the content services industry. With over 25 years of experience, she has been a trusted advisor to clients, providing expert guidance and building long-lasting relationships. Known for her ability to simplify complex technology challenges, Ellen has a proven track record of delivering high-value solutions and results through her exceptional leadership and collaboration with top-tier teams.

During her tenure at Technology Services Group, Ellen played a pivotal role from its inception to its acquisition by Alfresco, and subsequently Hyland Software. As a key leader, she closely collaborated with customers, understanding their unique needs, and assembling the right teams and solutions to meet their requirements.

At Hyland Software, Ellen demonstrated her strategic acumen by spearheading the integration of the acquired Alfresco and Nuxeo platforms into Hyland’s sales, services, and marketing organizations. Her contributions to executive leadership ensured a seamless transition and maximized the potential of these additions.

Drawing on her extensive experience, Ellen has now returned to her entrepreneurial roots, founding Docuvela. Through this venture, she continues to support clients by implementing innovative and cost-effective solutions while prioritizing the development of long-term, trusting relationships. Ellen’s expertise and commitment to excellence make her a sought-after partner in delivering successful outcomes for her clients.

George Steimer

Co-Founder and Managing Partner

For over two decades, George has been involved in the design, development, and implementation of Content Services solutions and products. At Docuvela, George has led the creation and release of our flagship cloud-native document management platform, Veladocs.

Earlier in his career, George was dedicated to Technology Services Group (TSG) and Hyland Software, where he acquired a deep knowledge of content services platforms and expertise in designing, building, and scaling enterprise applications.

During his tenure at TSG, George was instrumental in leading teams to design, develop, and implement company products.  These products include the OpenContent Management Suite, OpenAnnotate, Active Wizard, OpenContent, OpenOverlay, and OpenCapture.

While at Hyland, George facilitated the release of TSG products as Hyland offerings on the Alfresco platform.  Notably, the OpenContent Management Suite and Active Wizard for Alfresco are now known as the Alfresco Content Accelerator.  OpenAnnotate for Alfresco is now known as the Alfresco Enterprise Viewer.

George has earned a reputation as a respected leader in content services, a strong business partner, and an adept problem solver.  With an extensive track record of building innovative solutions for content services clients, George strives to find the optimal solution, balancing technical and business needs, long-term quality, cost, and user-realized value and efficiency.
